Winner of the jumping index at the performance test

A strong type stallion, Carenzo was awarded a premium at the 2005 licensing in Verden, finishing as the second Reserve Champion in the lot of jumper stallions. He's an extra class candidate for the course richly blessed with all of the attributes a top athlete should have and is stamped all over with a clear performance statement. The outstanding progression of his movements swings through his whole body resulting in an awesome canter and he's simply first class when it comes to ability, leg technique and bascule. All traits that make everyone very keen on this youngster.

At his 30-day test in Zweibrücken which he took in 2006, he had the best score of all competitors in jumping, dominating with an 8.88. In 2008 he took his 70-day test in Schlieckau with equally positive results in all fields, reflecting his versatile talents. Competing in sport, he has won and placed in novice (A) and elementary (L) level tests for young show jumpers. Carenzo's lively first crops of foals were also strong types with long legs and enormous movement potential. Many of them were awarded premiums. On the basis of his good results at the performance test and first achievements in sport, he was awarded the I-b main premium in the lot of stallions with emphasis on jumping at the Oldenburg Hengsttage 2008 in Vechta.

Equestrian Sites

His sire, Calido I, proved his own sport qualities by sovereignly winning the jumping index at his stallion performance test in Adelheidsdorf in 1994 and then winning many tests for young show jumpers, also successfully participating in the Bundeschampionat twice.

The most influential son of the famous Cantus, he sired one top horse after the other such as Coupe de Coeur, who became the German Champion in 2006 and 2007 with Rene Tebbel, more than 35 other licensed stallions, numerous State Premium mares and more than 170 advanced (S) level show jumpers. The dam's sire, Freedom (today USA), was bred in Zangersheide out of a full sister of the world famous Ratina Z (Ludger Beerbaum), just like the sires Rebel Z I to III. During his short breeding activities in Germany, he produced several jumpers that successfully reached advanced (S) level. Bred to Espri, Carenzo's granddam, Grandessa, produced two advanced (S) level show jumpers, Expander and Elliot, and two medium (M) level show jumpers named El-S and Spellbound H. The great granddam, Wyoming-Girl, produced two medium (M) level show jumpers by Wanderer named Willow and Wicked Game. She is a full sister of the former Oldenburg main premium winning stallion and successful sire, Waidmannsheil (private stallion Oldenburg, Baden-Württemberg; I-a main premium 1971). Their dam, Felsenburg, is a full sister of the State Stud Celle sire and jumper-maker, Winnetou. Carenzo's dam line which is based on the Hanoverian mare line 799/Schebecha (by Schah-Lorlot-Xerxes-Julius-Admiral I), is also the origin of the stallions Ballerino, Davis Cup, Gardeoffizier, Graf Sandro, Graf Werther, Grannus Sohn, Harvard, Plural, Tramino, Traumulus, Wendig, Westminister and Westrich.

Licensed for Hanover, Oldenburg, Springpferdezuchtverband Oldenburg-International, Westphalia and Rhineland as well as all Southern German and new German State Verbands. Listed in the Hanoverian Jumper Breeding Program.
