Corrado II is still young and was only licensed in Holstein in 1994, where he performed well in jumping. Grandam of Chellano Z is the famous dam Soleil, a daughter of the jumping progenitor Capitol I, who has produced several super horses such as Carthago Z, Cento, Cassini I and Capriol. The female line of Soleil goes back through Maestose xx and the jumping progenitor Frivol xx to the mare Contiane (Fanal x Heinzelmann) from lineage 6879 (see Z-Magazine no. 3 '99). In those days Holstein was already breeding for sport performance. Contiane had two full sisters, Baden and Original Holsatia, who have both been successful international jumpers. Baden jumped in the Helsinki Olympics and Original Holsatia claimed numerous successes under the reputable Fritz Thiedemann. In this famous lineage we also find the international jumper Landlord (Landgraf I), with Ludger Beerbaum winner of, amongst others, the Maastricht and Wolfsburg Grand Prix, and Lausbub (Landgraf I) winner of the Hamburg Derby under Achaz von Buchwald. Under Jeroen Hanson Chellano Z won last year's prestigious Hendrix Cup, a competition for young horses.

Chellano Z
Chellano Z is a son of the successfully breeding Calypso II son Contender, who has produced several fine sport horses and more than 30 licensed sons. Dam of Chellano Z, state premium mare Fayence (Cor de la Bryère) is a very interesting dam, for she is a full sister to the stallions Corrado I and II. Corrado I was a very successful international jumper under Franke Sloothaak, winning amongst others the World Cup Finals of Aarhus and Dortmund in '94 and '95.

Holstein Stallion - Arturo 8
Arturo’s Sire Athlet Z {Almé Z x Gotthard} was bred at Zangersheide in 1979 and was sold as a colt to the legendary stallion rearer Maas Joh. Hell. There Athlet Z developed into a producer of many international showjumping horses, such as Adelfos (Markus Fuchs}, Almox Athletico (Ludger Beerbaum}, Valeska (Michael Rüping}, Sprehe Avion (Ludger Beerbaum} etc. In a study carried out by a top french breeder Athlet Z was ranked the 4th best stallion by progeny in his age category. This is very impressive considering he is in the same category as Darco, Voltaire and Libero H.
Arturo’s dam is by Lord out of Ramiro Z mare. Lord won the stallion approval in 1969 and quickly became a successful sire. In 1994 alone, his progeny won over 355,000 DM in Germany. Lord’s lifetime progeny earnings exceed 3 million DM and include some of the world’s top names, including Armerica I, Top Seed (Anne Kursinski}, Indeed (Anne Kursinski}, L’Eperon, Lordon, Lord Z, Latinus, Montanus, Jump, BB Comtessa, Elmshorn, Landsohn, Lord Caletto, Ligorett and many others.
Wodka has proved herself as a fantastic brood mare with no less than three international stallions Arturo 8, Sandstone Conway who is universally recognized in Europe and the U.S. as one of the most promising young jumper prospects. Showing in the preliminary division in 1996, he had 49 out of 51 rounds clear. Sandstone Conway is an extraordinary horse that demonstrated carefulness and a winning spirit from the beginning. In 1997 he was the high point qualifier for the P.C.H.A. Jimmy William’s Futures Finals. He also won the $10,000 GMAC Mortgage Jumping Derby at Pebble Beach. Sandstone Conway is the winner of two Grand Prix. He is also an outstanding athlete as well as a top-breeding stallion. The third son of Wodka is Clearway by Capitol I who is an up and coming stallion in the Holstein studbook and has already achieved wide acclaim as both a jumper and a breeding stallion in Europe. In 2003 one of his offspring was entered into the Zangersheide auction at the World Breeding Championships.
Ramiro Z (Wodka`s maternal grand sire} needs no introduction; he was himself an international show jumper and one of the world’s most influential sires. Ramiro Z has sired many approved stallions; show jumpers, and international dressage horses. Offspring of Ramiro Z include Ratina Z, the winner of the Olympic team gold and individual silver in Barcelona and team gold in Atlanta.
Arturo 8, is an international show jumper who began his career in Germany where he competed at the highest level, it was not long before he was noticed and purchased in a lucrative deal that saw him go to America where he was competed successfully by Candice King.
As well as being a show jumping stallion Arturo 8 has wonderful paces and breeding that would make him an ideal stallion for dressage breeding.
Arturo 8 was a very popular breeding and jumping stallion in Germany having some very good mares sent to him. Arturo 8 young stock are showing themselves to be true athletes in show jumping, one of these being Arturo’s Son, who as a 7 year old showed himself to be one of the best young horses in Germany competing in their national championships, he is now competing internationally. Another of Arturo’s offspring’s was the winner of the 1999 Dublin loose jumping championships. Arturo 8 is producing quality stock that can perform in all spheres. Arturo 8 has 3 stallions Approved with the Holstein Studbook.
One of these is Arcus. Arcus has a good top line and muscular hind quarters, showing three excellent basic gaits with almost limitless jumping potential showing his fathers tremendous scope.
Arcus completed his 100-day-performance-test 1996 in Marbach. He has competed successfully in show jumping competitions, and dressage at an advanced level.
